WANTED : GARRETTSTEIN & THE OUTLAW JACKALOPES

WANTED : GARRETTSTEIN & THE OUTLAW JACKALOPES

Recorded in just 9 hours in Darmstadt, Germany, this blistering set features myself on guitars, bass, and vocals, and Thomas Kurek on drums. Just like the legendary hybrid animal who lends it's name to the album, this short EP blends numerous different musical influences and styles into a grotesque yet captivating mix of rock, blues, latin, folk, oom-pah, and psychadelic crooning.

"Rengöring," 2021

"Rengöring," 2021

A small sampling of songs written and recorded at home in Northern Sweden during the pandemic. Aside from a bit of help on the track "Let You Go" from long-time friend and collaborator Braford Allen, this collection is all written, performed, and recorded by yours truly.

"Oats & Yarrow," 2020

"Oats & Yarrow," 2020

With the help of producer and multi-instrumentalist Bradford Allen, the songs on "Oats & Yarrow" are largely acoustic based. I drew stylistically from the roots of American music, from gospel and blues to country and musical theater.

"Hourglass Castles" (2018)

"Hourglass Castles" (2018)

The first of my solo recordings. All songs were written and recorded by yours truly in Savannah, Georgia and Mendocino County, California with a bit of help from rapper Dope Knife, blues harpist Ace Andersson, and a few other friends. From sampled beats to campfire singalongs, this album perhaps more than any other displays the widest range of my songwriting, playing, and singing sensibilities. Inspired by my gradual move from city to rural life.

"We Have No Names," The Heavy Hippies (2017)

"We Have No Names," The Heavy Hippies (2017)

Featuring yours truly on drums and keys, this psychadelic romp through the songbook of Swedish guitarist and singer Sara Clash was recorded in preparation for our 2017 European tour.

"Filament," Broken Glow (2016)

"Filament," Broken Glow (2016)

Recorded on 2" tape in 2015, "Filament" is Broken Glow's only full-length album. Featuring Sara Clash on bass, Paul Burba on drums, and yours truly on guitar, vocals, and piano, the album highlights the band's live sound and breadth of influences. "Iconoclast" recalls the grunge era while "Blister" is a barn-burning punk rocker, as "Blue Dream" echoes 70's hard rock and "Well" is a romping blues tune.

"Live Like An Animal," Broken Glow (2014)

"Live Like An Animal," Broken Glow (2014)

Here is Broken Glow as a duo, featuring Paul Burba on drums and yours truly covering bass, guitar, and vocal duties. These 6 tunes are a hard-hitting headache of crunchy riffs and no-frills rock tunes. "Cage" features Tony Bavaro on bass and guest vocals from Sara Clash, the band's future bassist.

"Watercolors," Broken Glow (2011)

"Watercolors," Broken Glow (2011)

The first of Broken Glow's studio recordings featuring the late Brenner Eugenides on lead guitar, Paul Burba on drums, Andrew Brunetti on bass and yours truly covering vocals and rhthms guitar. The sparse production, churning guitars, and touch of blues would prove to be signature elements to the band's sound.
